The Detroit Tigers placed closer Kenley Jansen on the 15-day injured list due to pelvic inflammation. Jansen departed during the ninth inning of a 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. The 38-year-old has a 4.80 ERA with seven saves in 11 chances this season and has surrendered three walk-off home runs since April 24. His absence leaves Detroit's late-inning bullpen role unsettled.
