Skubal Progressing Through Elbow Recovery With Sim Game Work
The Tigers ace is throwing again after a novel elbow procedure, but no timeline has been set and he is the first MLB player to undergo the surgery.

Tarik Skubal is on the injured list after surgery earlier this month to remove a loose body from his elbow. He has already begun throwing and completed a 40-pitch, three-inning sim game on Tuesday, with another sim game scheduled for Monday. The Tigers have declined to provide a specific return timeline. The procedure used a device called a NanoNeedle, smaller than a traditional arthroscope, which may shorten recovery — but Skubal is the first MLB player to have the surgery, so there is no established track record.
