Adolis Garcia joined the Phillies with a mandate to improve his plate discipline and batting mechanics. His out-of-zone swing rate of 28.1% is the lowest since his 2023 All-Star campaign, and his overall swing rate dropped sharply from 52.2% to 43.4%. His whiff rate also improved from 14.6% to 12.9%, and his 83.7% contact rate on pitches in the zone is a career best.
