Kenley Jansen lands on 15-day IL with pelvic inflammation
The Tigers' 38-year-old closer is sidelined after struggling to land properly on each throw in his last appearance against the Angels.

The Detroit Tigers officially placed reliever Kenley Jansen on the 15-day injured list Thursday with pelvic inflammation. Jansen exited Wednesday's game after recording just two outs, walking Mike Trout on four straight pitches and visibly struggling with his landing mechanics. Manager A.J. Hinch cited the bullpen's immediate needs as the reason for the IL move. The Tigers' closer situation is now in question for the near term.
