They now travel to Chicago to face the White Sox, who just took three of four from the Twins. Right-hander Troy Melton gets the ball for Detroit in Game 1, coming off a strong 5.2-inning, one-run outing against Baltimore in his season debut. Melton has prior experience against Chicago, having faced them twice in 2024 as both a starter and reliever.
