Jansen Lands on IL With Pelvic Inflammation
Detroit's closer is sidelined after a recurring groin/abdomen issue flared up mid-appearance, forcing an early exit with a trainer visit.

The Tigers officially placed Kenley Jansen on the 15-day injured list with pelvic inflammation. The issue had been lingering for weeks — he was listed day-to-day on May 2nd — but he continued pitching until the problem worsened during a ninth-inning appearance. He recorded two outs before leaving after a trainer visit, with Brenan Hanifee finishing the inning. Jansen has posted a 4.80 ERA across 15 innings this season on an $11MM deal.
