The Braves officially outrighted Carlos Carrasco to Triple-A Gwinnett after he cleared waivers unclaimed. Carrasco has the option to reject the assignment and become a free agent, a move that could allow his camp to negotiate improved terms on a new minor league contract. This is the fourth time Atlanta has designated him for assignment since last August, and he has returned each time. In limited MLB action this season, the veteran righty has posted solid results over 7.1 innings.
