Jared Jones Set to Return From UCL Surgery Friday vs. Twins
The Pirates hard-throwing righty is slated to make his 2026 season debut after missing all of last year following elbow surgery.

Jared Jones is expected to take the mound Friday against Minnesota, marking his return from UCL surgery that wiped out his entire 2025 season. The young righty showed strong form in five rehab starts, posting a 2.89 ERA with 24 strikeouts over 18 2/3 innings. Jones was a promising rookie in 2024, recording a sub-4.00 SIERA across 22 starts. His return will likely push Carmen Mlodzinski out of the Pittsburgh rotation.
