The Cubs are acquiring 28-year-old right-handed reliever Ryan Zeferjahn from the Los Angeles Angels in a deal reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan. Zeferjahn posted a 3.66 ERA in 51.2 innings this season with a 33.5% strikeout rate that ranks in the 97th percentile league-wide. Advanced metrics are more favorable, with an xERA of 2.93 and SIERA of 3.37. The compensation heading back to the Angels has not yet been announced.
