Detroit is sending its two-time AL Cy Young winner to Los Angeles for three prospects, with the trade nearing finalization per ESPN.
ESPN's Jeff Passan reported late Wednesday that the Dodgers and Tigers are finalizing a trade for ace Tarik Skubal. Detroit receives outfield prospect Zyhir Hope (ranked No. 55 in Baseball America's Top 100), right-hander River Ryan, and right-hander Brady Smith. Skubal is a two-time AL Cy Young winner heading into free agency after this season. Neither team had officially confirmed the deal at the time of reporting.
