White Sox Land Huascar Brazobán from Mets in Bullpen Deal
Chicago adds a durable ground-ball reliever with a 2.56 ERA this season, sending two minor league pitchers to New York.
The White Sox and Mets have reportedly agreed to a trade sending reliever Huascar Brazobán to Chicago for minor league pitchers Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin. Brazobán, 36, owns a 2.56 ERA across 52.2 innings this season, featuring a 52.6% ground-ball rate and a mid-90s sinker paired with an effective changeup. Chicago has a 40-man roster spot available and will not need a corresponding move. Brazobán is expected to work in a setup role alongside Jordan Hicks ahead of closer Grant Taylor.
