Shea Langeliers will have surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee, per MLB.com's Martín Gallegos. The Athletics have not announced a recovery timeline, but the injury is expected to sideline him for most or all of the rest of the season. Langeliers had been one of the top offensive catchers in baseball, ranking second among catchers with 23 home runs and slashing .263/.332/.497 in 416 plate appearances. He had recently returned to form in July after a slower June.
