Skubal Makes Dodgers Debut in 5-1 Loss to Cubs at Wrigley
The two-time AL Cy Young winner pitched his first game as a Dodger in front of a hostile sold-out Wrigley crowd, with LA falling 5-1.
Tarik Skubal started for the Dodgers for the first time on August 4 at Wrigley Field, where Cubs fans booed him loudly throughout. The Dodgers lost 5-1 in what was also Skubal's first career start at Wrigley. Skubal said the atmosphere rivaled any postseason environment he has pitched in. Manager Dave Roberts acknowledged Skubal simply wanted to get his first Dodgers start behind him.
