The Pirates activated Chris Devenski from the 60-day injured list after he completed a rehab assignment, but roster constraints left no room for him on the big-league club. He was placed on waivers, cleared, and outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis. Devenski, 35, has enough service time to reject the outright and elect free agency. Pittsburgh's deadline acquisitions of Luke Weaver, Camilo Doval, Kirby Yates, and Lake Bachar filled the bullpen spots he might have occupied.
