The Cincinnati Reds traded first baseman Nathaniel Lowe to the Cleveland Guardians at the trade deadline. Cleveland sent back pitching prospect Alejandro Rivera in return. In a separate transaction, the Guardians also acquired rookie second baseman Juan Brito from Cincinnati for undisclosed cash considerations.
