Phillies Cut Dylan Carlson After Brief Triple-A Stint
The former Cardinals top prospect is out of work again after failing to impress at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this summer.
Philadelphia released Dylan Carlson following roughly two months at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he managed only a 65 wRC+ in 153 plate appearances. Carlson had signed a minor league deal with the Phillies in mid-May after the Cubs released him from a similar arrangement. Earlier this season he appeared in just three games for Chicago before being designated for assignment. The 26-year-old is now a free agent for the second time in as many months.
