The New York Mets selected Gavin Guidry out of LSU with the 480th overall pick in the 16th round of the 2026 MLB Draft. Guidry arrived at LSU in 2023 as a highly ranked shortstop but transitioned to pitching mid-season after the Tigers lost two starters to injury. He went on to be part of two national championship teams during his college career.
