Will Vest Stress Fracture Sidelines Tigers Reliever Until Late August
Detroit's righty reliever moves to the 60-day IL with a stress fracture in his elbow, no surgery needed but a lengthy absence expected.
Tigers reliever Will Vest was transferred to the 60-day IL with right posterior elbow inflammation, later confirmed as a stress fracture. He had already missed time earlier this season with right lateral forearm inflammation before returning May 17. After 14 rough appearances with a 6.00 ERA, he went back down July 1. The placement is retroactive to June 28, meaning Vest cannot return until late August at the earliest.
