The Athletics claimed right-hander Taylor Rashi off waivers from the Twins, making him the third organization of the 2026 season for the 30-year-old. Minnesota removed Rashi from their 40-man roster to make room for shortstop prospect Kaelen Culpepper. Rashi posted a 4.76 ERA in 17 Triple-A innings with Minnesota but never appeared in a game for them at the MLB level. Oakland owns the worst bullpen ERA in the league at 5.68, but Rashi's full slate of minor league options means an immediate call-up is not guaranteed.
