13-Year Dodgers Blackout Ends for Cox Subscribers After Charter Buyout
Charter's closure of its $34.5B Cox acquisition means Dodgers fans in Orange County, Palos Verdes, Santa Barbara, and Las Vegas can finally watch SportsNet LA.

After 4,560 days, Cox subscribers in the Dodgers' broadcast territory gained access to SportsNet LA when Charter completed its $34.5 billion purchase of Cox on Thursday. The blackout dated to 2014 when the Dodgers launched their team-owned channel under a $8.35B, 25-year deal with Time Warner Cable. Cox had refused to pay Charter for carriage rights, but the acquisition made that dispute moot. Fans can now find SportsNet LA on Channel 63 in Orange County, Channel 54 in Palos Verdes, Channel 36 in Santa Barbara, and Channel 50 in Las Vegas.
