Yahoo Sports reports the Cubs and White Sox have expressed interest in Angels starter Reid Detmers as the trade deadline approaches. Detmers has posted a 4.05 ERA across 21 appearances this season, striking out 28% of batters while walking just 7.5%. He has been especially sharp since the All-Star Break, throwing 11.1 innings of one-run ball over his last two outings. As a controllable southpaw with mid-rotation upside, Detmers is drawing calls from multiple contenders.
