Boston made preliminary contact last offseason but talks never reached the framework stage. Angels interim GM John Mozeliak indicated this week the team could 'possibly' move controllable players for strong returns. The Angels are broadly more open to listening on Neto, Reid Detmers, and José Soriano than in the past, though no deal is considered likely at this stage.
