The Tigers have selected the contract of right-hander Tanner Rainey from Triple-A Toledo to strengthen their bullpen. This move follows left-hander Enmanuel De Jesus being placed on the paternity list, creating an opening on the active roster. Rainey, who has been with Toledo all season, has thrown 42 2/3 innings with a 2.32 ERA in 39 appearances. His high strikeout rate of 33.5% is offset by a 14.5% walk rate.
