Cleveland released right-hander Pedro Avila from their Triple-A affiliate last week to allow him to pursue the KBO opportunity. The SSG Landers officially announced his signing Wednesday on a deal worth $380K guaranteed plus up to $200K in incentives. Avila, 29, logged a 3.51 ERA across 146.1 major league innings with the Padres and Guardians. He replaces Anthony Veneziano, who was released by the Landers after 16 poor starts.
