Twins Prospect Bruin Agbayani Assigned to St. Lucie
The 19-year-old lefthanded hitter and son of former MLB outfielder Benny Agbayani is en route to the Mets' High-A affiliate.
Bruin Agbayani, 19, has been assigned to St. Lucie, the Mets' affiliate, as part of his minor league development. He was ranked 29th among Twins prospects. Bobby Valentine, who managed his father Benny with the Mets and Chiba Lotte Marines, praised the younger Agbayani as a lefthanded hitter with speed and power. The move reflects a routine minor league assignment rather than a major roster transaction.
