The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick Roch Cholowsky on a contract featuring a record $10.35 million signing bonus. The 21-year-old UCLA shortstop posted a .320 average with 21 home runs and a 1.088 OPS in 60 college games this season. His bonus surpasses the previous amateur draft record of $9.25 million shared by Chase Burns and Charlie Condon from the 2024 draft. Cholowsky is the first No. 1 overall pick for the White Sox since Harold Baines in 1977.
