Andrew Nardi Facing Elbow Surgery, Season Over
The Marlins lefty reliever will miss the rest of 2026 and potentially all of 2027 after developing an elbow issue during a throwing program.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough confirmed Monday that lefty reliever Andrew Nardi will undergo elbow surgery, ending his 2026 season. Nardi had been on the IL since late May with a rib stress reaction and hurt his elbow while beginning a throwing program. The nature of the procedure has not been disclosed, but any ligament repair — including Tommy John or an internal brace — would likely cost him all of 2027. Nardi has battled a series of injuries since 2024, limiting him to just 57 1/3 innings of meaningful work since his strong 2023 campaign.
