Braves DFA Tyler Kinley After Mid-Season Collapse
Atlanta designated the 35-year-old righty for assignment Tuesday, ending his time in the Braves bullpen amid a 6.39 ERA since July 3.

The Braves officially designated reliever Tyler Kinley for assignment on Tuesday. Kinley posted a solid 3.00 ERA through his first 30 innings in 2026 but cratered after July 3, allowing a 6.39 ERA with equal strikeouts and walks in 12.2 innings. His slider, his primary pitch, has seen a significant drop in swinging-strike rate and is being slugged at .449 compared to .297 last season. With the trade deadline passed, Kinley must clear waivers to be moved.
