The Braves and Angels completed a trade sending veteran lefty reliever Brent Suter to Atlanta in exchange for infielder Nacho Alvarez Jr. Suter, 36, carries a 4.12 ERA over 63.1 innings in 2026 and provides long-relief depth for a Braves bullpen stretched by injuries. Alvarez, 23, had limited MLB success in parts of two seasons, slashing .216/.277/.298 in 240 plate appearances. The Angels receive a young infield prospect who showed strong Triple-A plate discipline in prior seasons.
