The Braves and Royals have officially completed a trade sending outfielder Lane Thomas and left-hander Bailey Falter to Atlanta. Minor league pitchers Carter Holton and Lucas Braun head to Kansas City in return. Thomas, 30, posted an .820 OPS in July and profiles as a platoon bat against left-handed pitching, filling a weak spot in Atlanta's corner outfield. Falter has struggled with injuries and ineffectiveness but adds bullpen/rotation depth.
