Blue Jays Recall Simeon Woods Richardson
Toronto adds a fresh arm after bullpen fatigue from four extra-inning games in five contests.
The Blue Jays selected right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson to the active roster. The move comes after Toronto played extra innings in four of their last five games, heavily taxing the bullpen. Woods Richardson was outrighted at the end of June but posted a 4.07 ERA in 24.1 Triple-A innings since then. He previously appeared in the majors for Minnesota in 2024-25, logging a 4.11 ERA over 245 innings.
