The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired ace left-hander Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers on the evening of August 1. Detroit received three prospects in return: River Ryan, Zyhir Hope, and Brady Smith. Ryan is recovering from Tommy John surgery and has been strong in eight AAA starts. Hope, 21, is a power-hitting outfield prospect with 23 home runs in the minors.
