The Mets completed a minor trade with the Tigers, acquiring right-handed pitcher Matt Seelinger for cash considerations. Seelinger has spent the 2025 season at Triple-A Toledo, posting a 3.89 ERA with 49 strikeouts in 39.1 innings. He has not yet appeared in a major league game. The Mets are expected to assign him to their Triple-A affiliate in Syracuse.
