Braves Promote Elieser Hernández, Option Owen Murphy
Atlanta activates the 31-year-old righty off a minor league deal, filling an open 40-man spot while sending Murphy down.
The Braves officially selected the contract of right-hander Elieser Hernández, who signed with Atlanta on a minor league deal in November. No 40-man roster move was required as a spot was already open. To clear space on the active roster, fellow righty Owen Murphy was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett. Hernández spent most of 2025 pitching in the KBO before a brief, rough stint in the Blue Jays system.
