Peralta's command woes continue as ERA climbs to 4.81 with Mets
The Mets' offseason trade acquisition has failed to replicate his Brewers form, with fastball location issues driving a rough stretch in 2025.

Freddy Peralta lasted only four innings against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, surrendering five runs in a 9-3 Mets loss in Toronto. His ERA has risen to 4.81 with a 1.416 WHIP, a sharp decline from the 2.70 ERA and 1.075 WHIP he posted with Milwaukee last season. Peralta walked three batters, continuing a pattern of fastball command problems that have plagued him since joining New York. Interim manager Andy Green acknowledged the struggles while expressing belief that Peralta can still find his form.
