Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was placed on the seven-day concussion IL after exiting Friday's game following a collision with Yankees shortstop George Lombard Jr. Manager John Schneider initially described it as precautionary, but subsequent testing revealed a more serious result. Guerrero had already been struggling offensively, batting .230 with a .616 OPS since May. Toronto, one game out of a Wild Card spot, will be without their most important hitter for at least the next week.
