Kansas City sends outfielder Lane Thomas and lefty Bailey Falter to the NL-leading Braves in exchange for two minor league arms.
The Royals traded outfielder Lane Thomas and left-handed pitcher Bailey Falter to the Atlanta Braves on Saturday night. Atlanta receives two minor league pitchers, Carter Holton and Lucas Braun, in return. Thomas, who has played primarily center field this season, will shift to left field in Atlanta given Michael Harris II's presence in center. Falter is expected to report to Triple-A Gwinnett to help a depleted Braves pitching staff.
