ESPN's Jeff Passan has indicated Weaver is expected to be moved as the Mets operate as sellers. Weaver, 32, has posted a 1.88 ERA across 41 appearances this season and is affordably under contract through 2027 at $11MM. The Pirates have a specific need for a closer after DFA'ing Dennis Santana, while the Brewers would likely use Weaver in a setup or committee role.
