MLB owners voted unanimously to approve the sale of the San Diego Padres to a new ownership group led by José E. Feliciano, who will serve as control person, and Kwanza Jones. The transaction closing is still pending but expected within weeks. Erik Greupner remains CEO and A.J. Preller stays on as president of baseball operations. The Seidler family, which has owned the club since 2012, is stepping away following the 2023 death of Peter Seidler.
