The interest predates Pittsburgh's trade for Camilo Doval, but the team's bullpen remains a weak spot and GM Ben Cherington is expected to keep looking for upgrades. Brazobán carries a modest $1.05MM salary and is under team control through 2029, making him an affordable target for a payroll-conscious club. He has posted a 2.61 ERA in 51.2 innings this season, the best mark of his career.
