The Red Sox have officially acquired outfielder Jahmai Jones from the Tigers, with left-handed pitching prospect Jojo Ingrassia named as the player to be named later. Jones, 28, posted a 159 wRC+ in 150 plate appearances last season but has struggled in 2026 with a .137/.219/.221 slash line across 105 PAs. He is out of options and will occupy an active roster spot in Boston. Infielder Eaton was optioned to Triple-A Worcester as the corresponding roster move.
