Rutschman Trade Finalized: Rivas Named as PTBNL to Baltimore
The Orioles-Red Sox Rutschman deal is now complete, with minor league outfielder Harold Rivas confirmed as the player to be named later.
Baltimore has officially acquired 18-year-old Venezuelan outfielder Harold Rivas from Boston as the PTBNL in the Adley Rutschman trade. The full deal sends Rutschman and Jake Rogers to Boston in exchange for Rivas, RHPs Anthony Eyanson and Kyson Witherspoon, OF Enddy Azocar, and catcher Carlos Narváez. Rivas, who signed for $950K out of Venezuela in January 2025, is a Rookie-level prospect with plus speed, defense, and arm grades. He has not yet advanced beyond Rookie ball but has shown improvement in 2026, cutting his ground-ball rate and increasing his home run output.
