Tigers Add Michael Siani on MiLB Deal Amid Outfield Depth Crisis
Detroit turns to the speedy defensive outfielder after losing Riley Greene and James Outman in back-to-back days.

The Tigers have agreed to a minor league contract with outfielder Michael Siani, who will report to Triple-A Toledo. Detroit has been forced to call up Trei Cruz and Corey Julks from Toledo after Riley Greene went on the IL and James Outman suffered a concussion. Siani was recently released by the Orioles after being claimed off waivers from the Dodgers in May. He is a strong defender and baserunner but has struggled offensively, slashing .167/.281/.242 with a 30% strikeout rate across 219 minor league plate appearances this season.
