Twins Cut Orlando Arcia from Triple-A Roster
Minnesota has released the 31-year-old infielder after he spent most of the season at Triple-A St. Paul following a brief MLB stint.
The Twins have released Orlando Arcia from their Triple-A St. Paul affiliate, ending his tenure with the organization. Arcia signed a minor league deal with Minnesota in January and appeared in 19 MLB games this season, posting a .654 OPS in 50 plate appearances. He was bumped from the big league roster in June when Royce Lewis returned, and opted to remain at Triple-A rather than elect free agency after being DFA'd. Arcia struggled significantly last season split between Atlanta and Colorado, slashing a 33 wRC+ across 76 games.
