Twins Land Dean Kremer from Orioles in Deadline Deal
Minnesota adds a veteran starting pitcher with a strong multi-year track record, betting on a rebound after an injury-hampered 2026 season.
The Minnesota Twins have acquired starting pitcher Dean Kremer from the Baltimore Orioles, per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal. The return piece is 18-year-old outfield prospect Jhonmardo Reyes, rated Minnesota's 10th-best prospect by FanGraphs. Kremer posted a 6.50 ERA in seven 2026 starts but missed most of the season with a quad strain, returning July 1. From 2022–2025 he logged a 3.95 ERA over 599 innings, and his advanced metrics suggest his surface numbers this year are inflated.
