Detroit Tigers reliever Will Vest had surgery this week to repair a stress fracture in his elbow, ending his season. A separate hip surgery is also planned. Vest struggled through multiple IL stints in 2025, posting a 6.08 ERA in 26.2 innings with diminished velocity. The 31-year-old had been a high-leverage staple for Detroit from 2023–25, combining for a 2.93 ERA and 23 saves last season.
