New York signed reliever Eli Morgan to a minor league deal, per Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Morgan was recently designated for assignment by Kansas City and elected free agency. He posted a 5.12 ERA in 19 1/3 big league innings with the Royals this season but has a 1.40 ERA in 25 2/3 Triple-A frames. Morgan will provide bullpen depth at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as the Yankees prepare for a postseason run.
