Arizona placed Zac Gallen on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation, retroactive to July 9th. He had already been scratched from his Sunday start before the IL move was confirmed. Gallen has struggled significantly this season, posting a 6.34 ERA and 6.49 xERA across 19 starts with a career-low 13.9% strikeout rate. Lefty Mitch Bratt was recalled to fill his roster spot and take his Sunday start.
