Arizona placed starter Zac Gallen on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation, a move announced the same day he was scheduled to start. Manager Torey Lovullo indicated Gallen reported feeling something, prompting an examination. Gallen has posted a 8.24 ERA over his last eight starts and owns a 6.34 ERA on the season. A recovery timeline will be established during the All-Star break.
