The Mets officially reinstated Robert from the 60-day IL, ending a lengthy absence caused by a lumbar spine disc herniation.
The New York Mets have reinstated outfielder Luis Robert Jr. from the 60-day injured list. Robert had been sidelined since late April with a lumbar spine disc herniation after posting a .224/.327/.329 slash line in 98 plate appearances. To open an active roster spot, infielder/outfielder Eric Wagaman was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse. The 40-man roster is now full following the move.
